This Cookie Policy explains what cookies TemplatePoint ("we", "us", or "our") uses, why we use them, and what choices you have. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What Cookies We Use

TemplatePoint keeps cookie use to a minimum, and we never set an analytics or advertising cookie without your consent.

Strictly necessary cookies (always set):

• Authentication cookie: Set by our backend provider, Supabase, when you sign in. It keeps you logged in between visits and identifies you to the Service. Without it, you would need to sign in again on every page.

• Language preference cookie (NEXT_LOCALE): Remembers which language you last viewed the site in, so we don't have to ask again on your next visit.

Both cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function and are not used for advertising or to track you across other websites.

Optional analytics cookies (only with your consent):

• Microsoft Clarity: On our public website pages, we offer optional analytics through Microsoft Clarity, which helps us understand how visitors use those pages (for example, page views, clicks, scrolling, and session recordings or heatmaps of on-page activity).

  Microsoft Clarity does not run, and no analytics cookie is set, unless you click "Accept" on the cookie banner shown on our public pages. If you decline, close the banner, or don't respond, Microsoft Clarity stays off.

  If you accept, Microsoft may set cookies such as _clck, _clsk, CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID, and SM (the exact set may change as Microsoft updates its service) to support analytics and distinguish your browser across visits.

  Microsoft Clarity is only used on our public pages (such as our marketing pages and this Cookie Policy). It is never active inside the authenticated TemplatePoint application where you manage your account, organization, workspaces, or templates.

  Your accept/decline choice itself is remembered in your browser's local storage, not a cookie, so it isn't listed above — but it works the same way: it's specific to the browser you're using and won't follow you to another device.

Cookies Set by Third Parties

If you choose to sign in using "Continue with Google" (or, where available, "Continue with Microsoft"), you will be temporarily redirected to that provider's own sign-in page. While there, Google or Microsoft may set their own cookies in accordance with their own cookie and privacy policies, which we do not control. TemplatePoint does not set any cookies on those providers' pages, and no cookies from them are set on our site outside of that sign-in redirect.

If you accept the optional analytics cookies described above, Microsoft (via Microsoft Clarity) will set its own analytics cookies directly on our site, governed by Microsoft's Privacy Statement, which we do not control.

Managing Cookies

Because our authentication cookie is required to keep you signed in, blocking or deleting it will simply sign you out.

For the optional Microsoft Clarity analytics cookies, you're in control: you can decline them on the cookie banner, or change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer, which lets you accept or decline again. Declining or withdrawing consent stops new analytics cookies from being set going forward, though it does not retroactively delete data Microsoft may already have collected — see Microsoft's own privacy statement for how to manage that.

You can also control or delete any cookie at any time through your browser's settings; see your browser's help documentation for how.

Changes to This Cookie Policy

If the cookies we use change — for example, if we introduce a new feature that requires a new cookie — we will update this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
